So it’s been a couple weeks since I put my first item/design up for sale.
Still trying to figure things out, but the response has been good and I made my first sale.
It’s easy to just let a third party handle the production and shipping, but you need to make sure the product represents and your brand. Am I right?!
Last week, I ordered some samples. Not everything has come in yet.
I have received my stickers and t-shirts from RedBubble. I must say I am quite happy with the stickers. Some minor adjustments on my end, but that’s alright. I do find the colors on the t-shirts to be a little faded and some of the details were lost. However, overall, I’m quite pleased. I’ve shown the t-shirts to other people and they don’t seem to notice anything wrong with them. I’m just being pick I guess.
I am still waiting on a phone case from them that should be arrive this week.
Another reason for placing some sample orders is to make sure everything runs smoothly. Since it is impossible for me to produce most of the products, I’ve opted for a production partner to fulfill my Etsy orders. Still waiting on this order to arrive. I wish they were a little quick at fulfilling the order, but maybe they’ll make up for it with quality.
Still have some kinks to iron out. Stay tuned as this saga unfolds!
That being said…here are some of the items you will find with my designs:
So, you may or may not know, I’ve made some of my designs available at Zazzle
I wanted to have my designs available or kids and they offer quite a good selection of products. Here’s what you can find if you pop into my store.
They have some other pretty cool products but they aren’t available for me to add them to my store. Things like nightlights and pacifiers. Should you like to order something like that get in touch I will make it happen.
I’ve done it before and I failed. And i’m doing it again, only this time i’m going to make it work! I’ve got an etsy shop! My biggest problem with Etsy was supplying the product and shipping. This maybe naive but I had no idea you could ahve this done by a third party. So I’m giving it a go. We’ll see what happens.
So far, a couple days running and I’ve already got my first sale! This is encouraging. There’s not much there but there will be. I’ve had such a great response to my new monsters that I thought ‘these little guys might do well on children’s clothes.’ Truth be told I just really wanted my kids to wear some of my designs since they are the inspiration. People seemed to really like them so I thought it would be a shame not to share.
Here’s to big things in the future and my first sale!
Let’s keep them coming!
Have you ever wondered if my designs are available for purchase? Well, I’ve had a few people ask. And my answer was….”um…not yet”. Well that changes right now! I’ve decided to open a shop. I opted for Redbubble simply because I wanted to include clothes for babies and Society6 doesn’t have that option. Here’s a little taste of what you can find there. Please pop in and if you like what you see “like it” or maybe even buy it! Oh and check back often cause I add stuff every few days!
Have a suggestion? Please feel free to let me know. I’d also love to know what you think.
It’s been quite awhile since I’ve posted anything. It’s been a crazy couple of months. And not really in a good way. I seem to have got everything back to normal and I’m feeling much better. I’m a little backed up with work right now, but I needed to take a little time and create something for me…to help get back into the swing of things.
Thought I’d try playing around with Illustrator again and here’s what came out of that.
So, I’m forever trying to participate in challenges such as Colour_Collective, Animaloon_Collective, Animal_Alphabets, Illustration_Friday…and so on. But my biggest challenge is finding the time between feeding our 2 month old, feeding our 16 month old, laundry, cleaning, tummy time, bath time, bed time (which entails chasing said 16 month old and putting him back in bed)…. oh and let’s not forget the freelancing work being done in between. However, with all that going on, I feel more organized than ever and I have actually been able to take part in more challenges than I did before. I guess that’s something that happens when you become a mother of 2 that are 14 months apart…you get real good at managing time! 😉
Here are a couple of my latest illustrations
I’ve not been posting much lately on account of being rather busy. It’s impressive how much time a toddler and a newborn take up! Add to that book illustration contract and that leaves barely anytime for sleep let alone personal work. Not that I’m complaining…not even close. I’ve just learned to be VERY organised with time and to live on very little sleep! 🙂 Now, the book is done, I do have some other side projects, but hopefully I will be able to squeeze in some personal work.
Here’s a quick one I got to do today for #portraitchallenge from @StudioTeaBreak
I found myself with some me time earlier this week and what did I do with it? Not catch up on sleep! No sir! I did this cute little singing frog for the folks at #pinchpunchpost.
Who knows when I’ll have more time? Until then remember…
‘Imagination will take you EVERYWHERE.”
Whoa…seems like it’s been ages since I had a chance to post anything. It has been a busy couple of months. Here’s a little something I been working on. It’s slow going cause I’ve had a lot on my plate. Thought I’d share where I’m at…
So much for trying to post daily!
I guess I’ll just have to accept that I will post as often as I can. Sometimes it will be daily…other times weekly. Here are some mousy sketches for today.
